Owo Attack: The Ogundare's Foundation Visits Olowo Of Owo, Affected Victims, Kick-off Scholarship Project for Affected Children

The aftermath of the unimaginable incident of Sunday, 5th of June, 2022 at the Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State remains a bitter pill to swallow, where unknown gun men killed scores of innocent worshipers who were gathered to mark the holiday of Pentecost and left scores injured with death toll rising to 40.
In recent developments, groups and well-meaning Nigerians have begun donating to the victims of the massacre.

As typical of The Ogundare’s Foundation, a Non-Profit Organization brought to life out of compassion to help the less privileged by been a haven away from home, creating shelter, and putting smiles on the faces of everyone has embarked on a special project to ease the burdens of victims of the massacre.

The project tagged "BACK TO SCHOOL” is aimed at sponsoring the education of children of the victims who lost their lives in the massacre.

In a condolence visit to the Olowo of Owo, the Founder of the Foundation, fully represented by the ‘Back To School Project’ team lead, Akintade Ayomide - a fore runner in this course, sympathized with the king and the peace-loving people of Owo and also gave a foresight on the planned project. 

“The Back to School Project is aimed at ensuring that the children of the affected victims go back to school from any class they are in currently till the completion of their tertiary education. This will be fully sponsored and funded by The Ogundare’s Foundation,” she revealed.Receiving members of the Foundation, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, appreciated  the Foundation for their condolence visit and for also introducing a laudable project.
“ You have done well by planning to bring the children who lost their parents at the massacre back to school. The best way to develop the society is to educate the young ones because ededucation is key to keeping the society in peace and harmony, if those who perpetrated the act were educated, they will know that such an act should not be done in a sane society.” He said. 
The Olowo further appreciated the founder, Oluwaseyifunmie Ogundare  for deeming it fit to bring the children back to school. “I thank you for creating a right direction for the foundation, your foundationis unique because it is aimed at developing the society.” He affirmed.
