NAOSS Annual Students Conference Day3: NAOSS Organizes Moot And Mock Trial Competition In Honour of Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu

In continuation of the maiden Annual Students' Conference, the leadership of the National Association of Ondo State Students led by Mary Ogunga has successfully organized Rotimi Akeredolu Moot and Mock Competition.

The event which was held at the Coaco Hall, Governor's House focused on providing a platform for Law student to horn their litigation skill. Organized in honor of Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu who had had a stellar career in Law and was also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

The prosecution team, David Adelegan and Omoniyi Akinwalere won the competition against the defense team, Aboyewa Ilemobayo Oluwaseun, and Ayenuro Esther Oluwaseun, as Judged by Magistrate Damilola Sekoni.

While making the assessment, Damilola Sekoni stated that the performance of the teams has rekindled his hope.

"Before now, I used to think that, with the direction of our education system in recent times, hope is lost for the requirement of quality practicing lawyers. But I'm thrilled by your great performances individually and as a team, there is no doubt that the future is very bright with potential lawyers of your kind. I also give kudos to your lecturers".

He further commend the leadership of NAOSS for organizing the Moot and Mock Trial competition, stating that the platform would go a long way in improving the practical skills of Law students who will contribute to the strength of the judiciary in the future.
