OKO POLY, DELT Poly Increases TUITION FEES AS Students Beg For Reduction

The Students of the Federal polytechnic oko, Anambra state and Delta state polytechnic ogwashi uku have appealed to the school authority to consider a reduction on the approved registration fees for 2021/2022 academic session.
The SUG president of the federal polytechnic oko in a statement dated 13th January appealed to the school management to suspend the #10,000 late registration fees added to defaulter student(s) school fees.
The school management of the federal polytechnic oko few weeks ago announced that school of Business and SFS are to pay #40,000 while other faculties are to pay the sum of #45,000 as tuition fees for 2021/2022 academic session and acceptance fees has been increased to #25,000.
Moreso, Delta State polytechnic ogwashi uku have increased her tuition fees to 100k for non indigene and 76k for indigenous students.

A Student who spoke with Ondomind described the tuition as "Unbearable."

Increment of tuition fee at the federal polytechnic oko and Delta state polytechnic, ogwashi uku has caused mixed reactions from the students as they appealed to the school management to consider a reduction.

Reacting to the tuition fee increment, The president, National association of Delta state students (NADESSU), DSPG chapter, Comrade Ewubare Anthony urged students to be calm and remain law abiding pending the outcome of their meeting with the school authority. He said, "Please everyone this is the time to be calm, we the comrades are planning something. Let us all have it in mind something will be done."
